Mr. Ellis’ experience in the hard sciences provides a scientific, statistical approach to investing based upon empirical evidence and discipline.
As the portfolio manager for a private investment limited partnership, Richard Ellis managed market-neutral strategies for high net-worth accredited investors.
In his technology career, Richard Ellis was the Vice President of North American Operations for Opal, Inc., a successful technology company which used electron-beam measurements for statistical control of critical processes in the semiconductor industry. Mr. Ellis served on the executive team which took Opal, Inc. public on the NASDAQ in 1995. Opal was later acquired by Applied Materials.
